These paintings were among those exhibited at the one man show at the Pykmeup coffeehouse and gallery in Los Angeles in 1986. Kyle was very much a part of the "primitive figurative" movement of that decade which included others, especially Tomata DuPlenty. Kyle was taken by AIDS in 1994. This collection of photographs comes from the photo albums of Jim Yousling, rescued by Stuart Timmons. We're working on a second gallery of later works, hopefully online by December '98.
