JAC ZINDER

had a completely unique vision of global music of all ethnicities that no one else has ever really touched. As a d.j., musician and with his band and finally his club "Fuzzyland" he created a kind of one world dance party scene that seemed to include simply everyone and everything. A sarcastic facade surrounded this really big heart and big vision.

Because I had a pick-up truck, I sometimes got coaxed (or, more typically, nagged) into dragging this rididulous spinnet/pump organ from his parents' house in Silverlake to "Stay Home" gigs at THEORETICAL and the old Anti-Club (where he was usually the soundman and DJ, too). He died in a tragic auto accident on Thanksgiving Day 1994.

Where's that damned spinnet now?
